It’s a bit…. gay.
I predominantly enjoy drawing the period of time before queer people are comfortable and proud to be themselves, where they exist underground in the darkness - but its not always a creepy darkness, sometimes its a darkness that feels new, other-worldy and adventurous.

Before 'pride' felt possible, we created our own world under fluorescent lights - a world where only we existed, our hearts were full, and anything felt possible as long as we were together.

Before 'pride' we acted like we had the power to bend time to our will; slowing down the world so that the briefest stolen moments together felt as though they last a lifetime.
